Here’s the promised update for some who ask.  It is a fundraise after all and an update is the least courtesy I can do! 🙂

When I first signed up for this run, I didn’t plan to fund raise.

You’d think less time in fundraising = more time in training.  The opposite is true.  May be this speaks of the general human problem (mine for one!), you perform better when watched, no?

You’ll see that if you compare my training activities with previous year’s races that were done with fundraising from the start (although I would blame this one on Lunar New Year feast and holiday :P).

Anyway, end of week 8 already (out of 11), here’s what I’ve been up to (+ some breaks along the way as you’ll see).

Week 0 – Baseline Pace Check

Baseline pace check @ Albert Park

Week 1 – Off to a Slow Start

Well ok, not training, but it felt like a workout trying to keep up with my nephew.  See how far ahead he was?

Was a really hot day, fun auntie-nephew time with icy pole and tram hunting @ Wattle Park.

Warm day @ Caulfield Park

Isn’t it a pretty park?

It’s Maccas’ hot cakes time!

A couple of days break from training as I was away in Belgrave Heights (refer to one of my Previous Post)

Week 2 & 3 – Lunar New Year in Indo = 1 Run + Much Food & Family Fun

Food and Family.  Training?  Err..

Week 4 – Back to Melbourne Resume Training

She said tired, but in no time she’s way ahead of me in distance and pace!  A natural runner this one.

Week 5 – Maccas & More Running

We read, laugh and eat Maccas together ❤

Many sail boats in Albert Park Lake that morning

Did well this morning, well back into training!

Week 6 – Warm Week

Another quite warm day @ Caulfield Park

A 38 deg day! So we started running early at sunrise.

It’s very warm after we’re done running, wondering how the Park Runners were doing in this heat – they just started!

A Picnic Brunch with the ladies.

Week 7 – Where’s Everybody?

Another run at ..

.. Caulfield Park

Mid way past training plan, people getting lazy? But I kept up even when birds and ducks were my only companions (hm .. nom nom..).  Hey, found a pretty green bird!

Week 8 – The Most Ran Week!

It’s like looking at an art piece!

How did you start your Labour Day holiday?  I ran!

No sails, no one in sight on Labour Day morning!

It’s too pretty, I had to stop a moment to capture it 😮

Indulge me in a few more beautiful scenery ..

Isn’t it a beautiful creation?

Ducks swimming so fast they almost turned into birds.

Stretching and .. we’re done for the morning.

Albert Park Lake closed for F1 race, we went to Elwood Beach, perfect place for a longer run.

And .. last item for now, dinner catch-up with friends over Uyghur cuisine (yum!).

Purpose & Appeal

Not much of a runner, never really like doing it, but I do enjoy the company and conversations that arise out of it.

And of course, I am hoping my persistent feet will go some way in supporting the beautiful feet out there!

Please note this Beautiful Feet campaign closes on 29 March!  If you’d like to give, do so before then.  Thanks heaps!
